We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and provide you the training needed to obtain your Kentucky CCDW License. This is the required Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training course and is conducted  strictly to the established guidelines.

 

Your Instructor: Gary Lowther, KDCJT Instructor #5178, is a retired US Army vet with over 22 years of service. A member of the National Rifle Association, Gun Owners of America, and two local gun clubs.

Classes are conducted on Saturdays or Sundays and normally run from 8am-4pm. Evening classes during the week may be arranged and generally run for three evenings including one evening at the firing range. Total class and range time will run a minimum of 6 hours and a maximum of 8 hours, not including drive time to the range.

 

Classes are normally restricted to 10 applicants; however, larger or smaller classes are available based on the skill level of the applicants.

 

The Range: Several range locations are available. The range used will be based on the needs of the class.

 

 

Course Cost: The cost is $75 and includes all needed course materials. The applicant provides a handgun with ammo, eye and hearing protection, and transportation to and from the range. Discounts are available.

 

 

 

 

This one day course is designed to provide the  entry level shooter exposure to a wide variety of firearms with the primary focus SAFETY. The course is 25% classroom and 75% hands-on at a local shooting range.

 

The new shooter will gain knowledge of and shooting experience with various types of rifles, shotguns, and handguns ranging from 22lr up to the 50BMG. Also included is shooting a full automatic sub-machine gun and the use of silencers/suppressors.

 

The cost of this course is $175 which includes everything except transportation and lunch. If the shooter takes this course in conjunction with the CCDW Course the combined cost will be $200.

 

This course is limited to two people and must be coordinated with the Instructor
